Get ready to lace up on Sunday 3 May 2026 as the Toowoomba Running Festival hits the ground running at the Toowoomba Sports Ground with a jam-packed day of racing, fitness, and community spirit.
This year’s festival brings together runners of all levels for an exciting one-day program that’s all about fun, challenge, and connection. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just out to enjoy the atmosphere, there’s an event for everyone.
For those looking for a longer run or challenging themselves to a PB on the back of their efforts last year, the ASICS half marathon and Visit Toowoomba Region 10km run will pound the city pavements on the same courses as 2025.
The 5km race will get a redesign in 2026, heading through the City Centre before returning to the finish line in Toowoomba Sports Grounds.
For something fast-paced, the ever-popular Mile events return – with Elite, Junior, and Open categories to choose from. Workmates, schools, fitness crews, and friends can join forces for the Corporate Mile Teams Challenge, with bragging rights and the perpetual trophy up for grabs.
Run or be part of team runspiration from the many vantage points along the course.

You are required to collect your race number prior to your race. We recommend collecting the day before to avoid delay in getting to the start line.

We recommend entrants collect their own race number. However, if you need someone to collect on your behalf, please provide them with a copy of your entry confirmation.
Team Entries
The Teams Challenge is a great team-building exercise and an excellent way to motivate your team, colleagues, families and friends to achieve a personal challenge together.
Your team can choose to race in any of the five races and all are welcome to select their own start zones. You do not have to race together in the same race or choose the same start zone.

How to enter your team
- Choose a team manager to manage your team
- Visit the entry form to register your team name and team code
- Team members register individually via the standard entry form adding themselves to your team in the team section of the entry form – to do this they will require the team code

Things you need to know
- You are required to collect your race number prior to your race.
- Your Entry Confirmation is required for race number collection. If collecting for another person, please bring a copy of their entry confirmation.

- To have your nickname / name printed on your race number you must enter before 11:59 AEST on 5 April 2026.
- Payment must be made via Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard or Visa). 1.4% payment processing fee applies to payments.
- Participants that have purchased Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program have the option to apply for a refund. Outside of RREFPP, refunds are only permitted to the extent that the event organiser is required to refund by law (please check terms and conditions of entry).
- If you can no longer attend, you can transfer your entry to another person. Race transfers and changes must be completed at the very latest the day prior to your race. Please complete your transfer by logging in to the Race Roster participant dashboard and select Transfer.
- Entry Terms and Conditions. If entering on behalf of another person you are accepting our terms and conditions on their behalf.
- If you need to make any changes to your entry, please login to the Race Roster participant dashboard and select the edit registration option.
- To ensure the safety of all participants taking part in the Toowoomba Running Festival, race polices and etiquette are in place. It is important that participants familiarise themselves with these prior to participation in the event and that these are adhered to at all times while on course. Learn more.
